OPENING OF SCHOOLS

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As a result of the Permanent Secretary’s position regarding the ATS Application we have had to modify some of our plans revolving on the return of students to school.

1. Opening of School

Schools will reopen on the 15th and 22nd of March for examination and non-examination classes respectively. Boarders will be required to have signed in to Hostel a day earlier by 4.00pm. Please note; the Accounts staff will be here from 9.00am till 4.00pm on the Sunday for Fee payments and to issue Fee passes.

2. Transport

Day Scholars – Transport for students to and from School will be provided with effect from Tuesday 16th March. We kindly ask Parents, for students whose bus fare has been paid, to bring their children to school on Monday 15th March as we finalise the transport logistics. The pick-up points/times and , drop off/times remain the same as follows;

Pick Up Points Time

  • Grants Service Station 6.15am
  • Sakunda Service Station (Round About) 6.30am
  • Zuva Service Station (Fairbridge Park) 6.45am

Drop off Points Time

  • Zuva Service Station (Fairbridge Park) 5.20pm
  • Sakunda Service Station (Round About) 5.35pm
  • Grants Service Station 5.45pm

3. With respect to Boarders please note:

  • No transport will be provided for Boarders on their return to School. Parents are expected to bring their children to school. A Health Assessment check will be done at the hostels prior to accepting them in.
  • Please bring 6 masks (the minimum 3 ply) and hand sanitiser.
  • Boarders need to be dressed in their Number 1’s and have their hair done and cut according to the school regulations.
  •  Make sure that your child has the relevant school fees pass which can be obtained from the account’s office before they proceed to Hostel.

4. You will have received the Health Assessment forms and the Procedures to follow for students & parents with respect to helping reduce the spread of Covid-19 with the last newsletters.

5. Our official uniform supplier is Enbee and they have informed the School that they are fully stocked. I am aware that parents had issues earlier – please give Enbee a call and speak to Mr. Kasungu on 0777056785.

6. Procedure for Grade 7s on Monday 15th March 2021

  • 7.10am – Arrival at the Main Car Park (Temperature, sanitization, baggage disinfection and foot bath)
  • Sanitization will also be done in the classroom whenever they leave the room and return.

We look forward to having the students back in School. I know it is going to be a very hectic weekend as you prepare to return the students to school but I wish you all a good weekend and do remain safe.
